The Difference Between Shooting A Bullet And Throwing It

I started this year out with a few major goals. Not wanting to risk letting even the best intentioned list fall to the wayside, I was careful to include weighty but acheivable goals. I've heard a few times that when your "to do" list is too packed or overreaching, you're likely to ignore most of it, putting off the most important or time-intensive points because they're too intimidating, and ultimately not accomplishing anything you're especially proud of. My aim was to make sure that every goal I had this year had a purpose, even if it seemed unacheivable back in January--or in the case of some of this year's goals, still leagues ahead of me.

For me, it's the difference between shooting a bullet and throwing it. I find that I work best when I'm able to articulate to myself why a dream is a dream, why I want/need to accomplish it, and then go full speed ahead. Otherwise, I make excuses, let aspects of the dream slide, and eventually, what I'm left with is a pale comparison of my original goal.

Anyway, that's all to say! I'm proud to share that my first major bullet point is currently being crossed off: a true and cohesive Spring/Summer KKDW small designs collection. I've been working with some talented folks to bring this dream to fruition, but before I share the final products and beautiful look book, I wanted to revamp the old KKDW website. I'll have everything sorted out soon, but in the meantime, here's a fresh-start blog! Let's go whole hog, bullet from the chamber, full speed ahead!
